 We've had a wonderful Early Music year so far - sell out audience to our Coffee with Mr Bach concert in the Auckland Arts Festival, followed by a huge crowd at At the Foot of the Cross at St Patrick's Cathedral on Good Friday.
There's a lot to look forward to too:
August 17th is the date for Sound the Trumpet - music by Purcell - baroque trumpet, strings, solo voices and vocal ensemble.
Songs of Love and War - Voices of Age of Discovery - is a concert of madrigals by Monteverdi and his Italian compatriots. - Sept 28th in the newly built Christchurch Cathedral, and Sept 29th in Auckland.
On October 13 we have the rare opportunity to experience J.S. Bach - the complete cello suites - performed by the outstanding Viennese cellist Martin Rummel.
We conclude the year on Nov 16 with The Italian Job - instrumental works from 17th century Florence.
